A NEW CONCEPT IN ECO-TOURISM
“The Nomad Lodges concept was created in the spirit of the nomadic people of South America. We invite travelers to discover places “picked by our hearts,” through a network of lodges built in harmony with the environment, offering a standard of quality and services made to meet the guests’ expectations.”
LOCATIONS
We choose areas that allow modular infrastructure, the integration of local communities in the project and in the lodges’ operating procedures. Ecotourism grants us an avenue by which to value indigenous culture, knowledge and land.
We guarantee the integration of local communities in the ecotourism project.
In this context, we will offer members of the same communities an additional income and training in the ecotourism project activities as well as the possibility to bring forth their ancestral knowledge.
As the pioneers of a full 360 approach to sustainable and eco-tourism in the Amazon forest and South America, our approach has been four dimensional. Our vision extends from the very first roots of our concept to the design of the lodges and the respect of the environment as well as to our deep involvement with the local communities.

THE CONCEPT
The Nomad Lodges infrastructures and design have been developed with the idea of merging entirely with the local environment and leave minimal footprint.

THE ENVIRONMENT
The environment in which we are nested is one of the most diverse on earth, in terms of wildlife and natural diversity. It is called the “Lungs of Earth” for a reason!
The movement of indigenous communities is conceived in Colombia as Minga, an indigenous speech that can be interpreted as the meeting of diverse actors, sabers and herramientas in busca of a common object. In this case we are regularly working with the local communities to work on the limits or our natural reserve.
THE COMMUNITY
Hundreds of different tribes have been living in the Amazon for countless generations. They are “Guardians of the Forest” and lead lives in complete harmony with the surrounding nature.
IMPACT
We are “Actors of change” and for that reason, our implication goes far beyond eco-tourism. Our goal is to preserve and educate the world about all the natural riches nested in South America, where our Lodges are located.
Women’s empowerment. At Nomad lodges Amazonas, we give the opportunity to women from the nearby communities to improve their skills and knowledges.
