Nomad Lodges is the story of a passion, a dream, that is coming to fruition after years and years of dedication.
Pierre-André is a Swiss entrepreneur and travel enthusiast who fell in love with the beauty and richesses of South America, more than a decade ago. For the past seven years, Mr. Krüger has devoted all his energy and passion into the completion of the dream of a lifetime: Nomad Lodges.
From its debuts and concept phase, Nomad Lodges was developped around four main pillars: Ecology, Integration, Sustainable, Ephemeral.
Over the years and after more than a hundred and fifty field trips to South America, meating local communities and exploring the region, Pierre-André’s involvement in the preservation of the local ecosystem’s, cultures and tribes grew stronger and stronger. This led him take part in various associations such as The Long Run and the World Commission on Protected Areas.
EVOLUTION OF THE CONCEPT
The lodge’s concept was always meant to merge with the environment, to be one with its suroundings and its design and materials are deeply inspired by the latter. The project has had many names over the years, such as Amacayacu but eventually Nomad Lodges was retained. The idea was to have a self-explanatory brand which would also allow expansions under the same name.
