OUR STORY
Nomad Lodges is the story of a passion, a dream, that is coming to fruition after years and years of dedication.
Pierre-André Krüger - Founder of Nomad Lodges
THE BEGINNING
More than a decade ago, a Swiss entrepreneur and travel enthusiast, Pierre-André Krüger fell in love with the beauty and riches of South America. For the past ten years, Mr. Krüger has devoted all his energy and passion into the completion of the dream of a lifetime: Nomad Lodges.
THE FOUNDATIONS
From its debuts and concept phase, Nomad Lodges was developed around four main pillars: Ecology, Integration, Sustainability, Ephemeral.
THE INVOLVMENT
Over the years and after more than a hundred and fifty field trips to South America, meeting local communities and exploring the region, Pierre-André’s involvement in the preservation of the local ecosystem’s, cultures and tribes grew stronger and stronger. This led him take part in various associations such as The Long Run and the World Commission on Protected Areas.
EVOLUTION OF THE CONCEPT
The lodge’s concept was always meant to merge with the environment, to be one with its surroundings. Its design and materials are deeply inspired by the rainforest. The project has had many names over the years, such as Amacayacu and eventually Nomad Lodges was retained. The idea was to have a self-explanatory brand which would also allow expansions under the same name.
