We were nervous about going with our 3 & 5 year old to a remote lodge with intense heat, 97% humidity and a jungle on our doorstep.

We needn't have worried.

@nomadlodges hosts just one party at a time so we set the pace. Pierre was an incredibly attentive host with a stellar team from the local Ticuna community who cooked up a storm with local ingredients grown on the land.

The community was friendly and welcoming and the kids are independent, brave and smart. We swam in the Amazon, spotted pink and grey dolphins, climbed trees, played football in a tropical downpour and spotted all sorts of bugs and birds on jungle treks.
